The Crown & Thistle is a historic, homely and delightfully eclectic venue for both intimate and informal weddings, blessings and civil ceremonies. Our two characterful function rooms, The Barn and the Minstrels Gallery can be hired separately or together.

We love creating a day that’s as individual as you are, which tells your story and embraces every guest.

Our wedding coordinators’ attention to detail is legendary, creating bespoke weddings and celebrations, and delivering flawlessly on the big day.

With a bespoke approach, our job is to ensure your day is truly unforgettable, from ‘I do’ to the bridal suite.

We want to make your big day as special as possible and will be on hand from start to finish to ensure your day is memorable for all the right reasons.

Our chefs are dedicated to culinary excellence, and will create unique and sumptuous food, using the best ingredients, for your celebrations. Whether it’s a 3 course Wedding Breakfast, or a buffet for your Reception, we are here to create a package bespoke to your day. From welcome drinks and wines at the table through to the all-important Champagne toast we can help you make the perfect selection from our cellars.

Finished to a superb standard, no two bedrooms are alike at The Crown & Thistle, with flashes of exposed brickwork, original beams and rich wallpapers created by British designers.
